The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has begun the search for a new CEO, as Kevin Mead prepares to step down from the role.
Mead, who joined the VCIA in February 2022, has over two decades of leadership experience in global associations and non-profit organisations, including roles at PrimeGlobal, the International Pemphigus Pemphigoid Foundation and Spokane County United Way.
No departure date has been set, with Mead stating that the focus is on giving the board time to conduct a thorough search and potentially allow for a transition period with the incoming CEO.
He stresses that the VCIA team remains fully committed to serving members and stakeholders without interruption.
Strategic planning work introduced at the VCIA 2024 Conference will also continue, with the association advancing its core pillars of education, engagement and advocacy.
The board has appointed a transition team, which is working with Mead to update the CEO job description and candidate profile.
“It has been my honour to serve as VCIA’s CEO,” Mead says, noting that his priority is to support “an optimal process to hire the best leader” for the association’s future.
