Willis appoints Grant Williamson as Canada leader

Willis, a WTW business, has named Grant Williamson as Canada leader within its Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) division.

Based in Toronto, Williamson will report to Ionel Rizea, chief commercial officer of CRB North America.

He will work closely with the Canadian leadership team, as well as colleagues across North America and global specialty lines, to support the firm’s Canadian growth strategy.

The firm says with two decades of experience in enterprise risk management, property and casualty insurance, and employment practices liability, Williamson has developed a strong track record in delivering tailored risk solutions.

He joined WTW in October 2024 as deputy regional leader, chief commercial officer and head of strategy and execution for Canada.

Before joining the firm, he held senior roles at Marsh and JLT Canada, including national corporate segment and central zone leader, and managing director of the Toronto branch.

Pat Donnelly, head of risk and broking North America, comments: “Grant brings a clear strategic lens, and his expertise in the Canadian market makes him exceptionally well suited for this role.”

Rizea adds: “His deep understanding of the industry and his innovative approach to risk management will drive significant client value and growth for our Canadian business.”
