The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has opened its search for a new president to lead the organisation and advance its mission within the captive insurance sector.
Formed in 1985, VCIA represents over 400 member organisations and serves as a liaison between its members, regulators, lawmakers and other trade associations.
The president will report to the board of directors and oversee strategic planning, advocacy, education, member services, financial management and staff supervision.
The role includes managing the annual conference, coordinating legislative and lobbying activities, and maintaining relationships with regulators, industry bodies and government agencies.
Candidates should have seven to ten years of association management or relevant experience. Knowledge of the captive insurance industry is preferred but not required.
The position requires skills in leadership, finance, business operations, staff management, and communication, as well as the ability to travel and relocate to Vermont.
The VCIA has appointed a transition committee to oversee the recruitment process, and candidates are invited to submit their applications directly to the association.
