The Singapore Captive Insurance Association (SCIA) confirms the programme and speaker line-up for its Asia Pacific Captive Forum (APCF) 2026, which takes place on 2 July 2026 at New Bahru School Hall in Singapore.
The forum brings together captive owners, risk leaders, regulators and service providers to address the evolving captive insurance landscape in Asia Pacific. SCIA says the event aims to move conversations beyond awareness towards implementation, offering practical insights into how captives can support stronger governance, more effective risk financing strategies and long-term business resilience as the structures gain traction across the region.
The programme features sessions on using a captive in a soft market, employee benefits in a captive, governance risk and compliance, reinsurance and market partnerships, and international perspectives on captives, capital and the CFO agenda. A keynote address will be given by Lim Cheng Khai, executive director of the financial markets development department at the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Speakers are drawn from organisations including Marsh, Aon, AXA XL, QBE Insurance, WTW, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Glencore.
"Captives are no longer seen purely as insurance or cost-saving structures, but as strategic tools for risk financing and capital efficiency," says Kelvin Wu, president of SCIA. "That shift is still uneven across Asia Pacific, and APCF is about accelerating it. The APCF is not just another conference. We are trying to create a focal point for the region: a place where experienced operators, new entrants and regulators can engage directly, challenge assumptions and carry that momentum across the region."
The forum is supported by nine sponsors: AIA, Aon, AXA XL, Generali Employee Benefits Network, Marsh, QBE Insurance, Sage Advisory, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, and Willis, a WTW business. Glencore Singapore joins as corporate sponsor, while Captive Insurance Times, Captive Intelligence and Commercial Risk serve as media partners.
