Arch Reinsurance Company recruits François Dagneau to lead in Canada

Arch Reinsurance Company has hired Aon Benfield's François Dagneau as its new Canadian operations CEO.

Dagneau takes over from Patrick McGuiness, who is retiring.

He joins Arch’s Canadian operations with more than 25 years of experience. He was most recently at Aon Benfield in Canada.

Jerome Halgan, president and CEO of Arch, said: “We are thrilled to have François Dagneau joining our team given his depth and breadth of experience. He has a deep knowledge of the Canadian reinsurance market, executive management experience, as well as a strong background in both underwriting and analytics.”

Rhonda Harvey, who has contributed to Arch’s development in Canada since 2011, will assume the role of chief agent of the branch going forward, in addition to her current responsibilities as chief underwriting officer, reporting to Dagneau.
