Bermuda captive industry targets US markets

Captive insurance experts in Bermuda are set to host a forum in the US to promote and highlight the advantages of Bermuda as a captive domicile.

The Executive Forum on Bermuda Captive Insurance Solutions will visit Chicago on 7 March and Boston on 9 March.

Industry experts will offer insurance buyers, risk managers and financial executives an opportunity to learn more about captive insurance and the benefits of domiciling in Bermuda.

The forum will feature two sessions, covering the basics of captive insurance, structure and set-up, regulatory and tax frameworks, as well as case studies.

Jereme Ramsay, business development manager at the Bermuda Business Development Agency, said: “I’m delighted to have as many captive industry partners and their clients involved in helping promote our captive insurance sector.”

“We have a very busy schedule in both cities, with two main forums for company executives, along with six mini-forums for brokers, and we’re also hosting a special healthcare-related presentation and networking reception in Boston—all over a three-day period.”
