Eamonn Flanagan joins R&Q’s board

Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings (R&Q) has appointed Eamonn Flanagan to the board as an independent non-executive director of the company with effect from 1 June 2020.

Flanagan has been involved with the London insurance industry since 1984 when he began his career with Royal Insurance, where he qualified as an actuary. He then moved to the capital markets where he was director and head of European insurance at a leading investment bank.

Additionally, Flanagan co-founded Shore Capital Markets, an independent securities business, where he was a director. He currently serves as a non-executive director of AJ Bell.

Ken Randall, group chairman, commented: “We are delighted that [Eamonn] Flanagan has agreed to join the R&Q board as a non-executive director. The high regard with which the insurance industry and investment community holds Eamonn is evidenced by his awards as London Market Insurance Analyst and as number one rated Extel Insurance Analyst over a number of years.”

“[Eamonn] Flanagan has considerable experience within insurance and capital markets, which will complement the overall balance of the board and be invaluable as we continue to build on our platform for growth. I look forward to welcoming him to the board,” he added.

Commenting on his appointment, Flanagan said: “I am honoured to have been invited to join the board of R&Q, a company and management team I have admired for many years. I have followed R&Q, a leading specialty insurance company in the US and Europe, as an analyst, and see strong growth potential in its core business lines, programme management and legacy.”
