Gibraltar FSC makes new head of prudential

The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (FSC) has made Joe Perdoni its head of prudential, with oversight of insurance.

Pedroni will take over from Mike Oliver, who intends to retire by the end of 2014.

He has more than 20 years of insurance sector experience. Over his career, he has held senior positions in compliance, risk management and internal audit at licensed firms, and has served at Lloyd’s.

Samantha Barrass, CEO of the Gibraltar FSC, said: "I am very pleased to welcome Pedroni to the FSC. His contribution will be invaluable to our continued development, building on the excellent foundations established by Oliver and his team."

Perdoni said: "I am delighted to be joining the FSC and I am looking forward to working with Barrass and the team to further develop and enhance the FSC’s regulatory approach."
